1971- 9th Standard in Rajeshwer Vidyala. I was technically minded and I used to make something or other in the school science exhibition and bag awards. This year I had also participated in school debates and about Gandhiji. My house used to win sometimes. I had a circle of friends like Jesse Joyland Oliver, Jamshed Cooper, Bijan Behari Biswas who all really meant a lot to me as good friends. I must have assembled medium wave transistor sets several times by then. I used to spent time on making radio sets and buying kits etc. those days. It was a great thing those days. 1972 Sep., my father retired from the Army. The family left to settle in home town- Tellicherry, Kerala. I had to stay back in Mhow to finish my Hr.Secondary Exam in 1973 March. I stayed with Uncle Lawrance Lobo from Mangalore, whom I called Lobo uncle and he stayed in the family quarters. His son Wilfred Lobo turned out to be best friend and I did learn a lot from him. He was a role model for me as I persuaded almost his path of career and was keen to go to the Middle East after some technical qualifications. ( He had Air Conditioning & Refrigeration from ITI Mangalore and I did the same too after a couple of years) 1973 March- Passed Higher Secondary from the Board of Secondary School, Bhopal, Madya Pradesh, India. 1973- The year of the final result-Passing the Higher Seconday-11th standard, 'a bottle neck', my father used to say. April 1973, we appeared the public exam and I left Rajeshwer Vidylaya forever. The group photo of the passing out batch is still there on the corridor wall of the school- it has 100 yrs history by now displaying such photos. I could not get a copy of the photo and I wanted to see that as it was the only photo I could recall when I had no moustache!! 1974- P.M.B Gujarati Science College into B.Sc.1st year- Section L (roll no L-116). I had to leave the college as retired father needed me to study in Kerala. 1975- Joined Cannonore (Kannur) ITI in the Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Course-(2yrs.) It was a wonderful time and memorable time as we called ourselves the Royal MRAC and I was the Class Leader for the B batch. Satyan was the A- Batch leader whom I met later years in Oman. These were the periods of my gym days-body building, weight lifting and muscle building. I did visit Kalari(Martial Art) but could not do much.
